At the intro level contact juggling workshop in the 2001 European juggling convention, this was the first trick taught to aspiring contact jugglers. A slightly more difficult version, uses the motion of the empty hand and arm to enhance the trick. Once mastered this technique can be extrapolated to add new dimension to almost any one handed thick. greg |

The ball begins in the cradle at center body with the empty hand beneath the ball hand, palm up. The arms cross at the wrists to form a flattened x. |

Roll the ball from the cradle of the top hand to the palm of the bottom hand. | ![]() |

Butterfly the ball over to the cradle with a short quick flip of the hand. | ![]() |

Carry the now empty hand around and under the ball to return to the beginning position on the oppose side. | ![]() |

For the slightly flashier version, instead of moving the hand around the ball, your going to move it over the ball. | ![]() |

Keep the fingers of the empty hand in contact with the ball arm while moving the empty arm over and in front of the ball until the wrists are in contact. | ![]() |

Open the empty hand palm up to return to the beginning position on the opposite side. and repeat |
